LOS ANGELES – A 28-year-old Foshay Learning Center teacher
pleaded not guilty today to felony possession of child pornography
on his LAUSD-issued laptop computer, the District Attorney’s office
announced.
Deputy District Attorney Marc Beaart with the High Tech Crimes
Division said Lief Arnesen Albaugh, (dob 6-20-08), did not enter a
plea on a second felony count of possession of child pornography
that was added today.
After receiving a tip, LAPD officers conducted a search warrant
on June 4 at Albaugh’s home and his school. Officers allegedly
discovered thousands of images of young boys and girls engaged in
sexual conduct on both his home computer and his LAUSD-issued
laptop.
Albaugh is scheduled to return to court on July 9 in Division 33
of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center be arraigned on the second
felony count and to have a date set for a preliminary hearing.
If convicted, he faces up to three years, eight months in state
prison. He remains free on $20,000 bond.
